Overview

The Construction Sector Council (CSC) has developed this website to help temporary foreign workers (TFWs) who are coming to Canada to work in construction. If you are already working in Canada as a TFW, this site will give you information about working and living in Canada, and your options should you decide to stay in Canada permanently. If you are thinking about coming to Canada as a TFW in construction, this site will help you with every part of the process, from finding an employer, to preparing the essential documentation, to working and settling in Canada.

Using this tool will help you to:

  • learn about construction-related opportunities in Canada;
  • understand the role of the federal and provincial governments, construction associations, employers, unions and other organizations that can support you;
  • understand your rights as a worker in Canada;
  • understand the process of coming to Canada as a temporary foreign worker;
  • prepare necessary documentation; and
  • know what to expect once you arrive.
